Scientific Details

Pereon dorsally with few if any setae. Pereopod 1 of both sexes similar. Antenna 1 with 1 aesthetasc, its last article not minute. Mandibular palp not reaching to end of incisor. Male pleopod 1 simple, without distolateral projections. Pleopod 3 exopod much narrower than endopod.

General Description

Head as long as 2 pereonites; eyes small. Pereopod 1 palm without minute spines. Dactyls of pereopod 2 6 times as long as wide, unguis very fine.

Biology

Uromunna phillipi is named for Arthur Phillip (1738-1814), the first Governor of New South Wales.

Depths of 3-51 m.
