General Description
Tail and tail base elongate, last dorsal-fin ray connected to middle of tail base by a membrane; segmented dorsal-fin rays 3, last two rays widely separated from preceding; orbital tentacle absent. Head and body yellow to brown with a horizontal white or silver stripe behind eye. To 14 cm.

This species is yet to be formally named and described.
Habitat
Amongst sand, rock and algae, often in deep rock pools amongst string kelp, to depth of 5 m.
