General Description
A sandy-grey, massive sponge species with lobate form. Size of about 20 cm.
Biology
These sponges often incorporate large amounts of sand and broken spicule fragments into their skeletons, which have been drawn in with the incurrent of seawater.
Habitat
Sand and muddy areas, to depth of 10 m.
