General Description
Body long, slender, covered in small scales. Sandy brown to pink above, whitish below with an indistinct midlateral silver stripe. To 33 cm.
Biology
This is an excellent eating fish and is commercially important in south-eastern Australia.
Habitat
Coastal lakes, estuaries and along the outer coast, in depths of 1-170 m.
